What is Strattera?

Strattera (atomoxetine) is a non-stimulant medication prescribed for children who are at least six years old and adults with ADHD to help control distractibility, impulsivity, and hyperactivity.

Strattera comes in capsule form and is taken once or twice daily, preferably at the same time of day. It may be taken with or without food.

What does Simplefill Provide?

ADHD is not something that children outgrow. It continues into adulthood, making it difficult to concentrate on anything for an extended period. People with ADHD can act impulsively and have trouble maintaining stable employment or relationships.

Medications like Strattera make it possible for people with ADHD to function better in school, in the workplace, and socially. But these medications can be very expensive. Being unable to maintain an uninterrupted supply without sacrificing other necessities can be very stressful.

At Simplefill, we don’t believe anyone should have to make such sacrifices to pay for important medications. Not everyone who needs prescription assistance knows that it’s available or how to get it. So, we’ve made it our mission to bridge the gap between those who need help paying for costly prescriptions and the programs that offer assistance.

How does Strattera Work?

Strattera is a norepinephrine (noradrenaline) reuptake inhibitor, or NRI. Reuptake inhibitors increase the concentration of certain neurotransmitters in the brain by preventing them from being reabsorbed after they’ve been excreted by nerve cells. Norepinephrine is a neurotransmitter that increases alertness, focus, and retrieval of memories. Strattera blocks the action of the norepinephrine transporter that would otherwise carry norepinephrine into the bloodstream, which leaves a greater amount of norepinephrine circulating in the brain.
