What Is Cutaquig?

Cutaquig is an immune globulin solution prescribed for patients over the age of two who have one of several types of immunodeficiency, such as common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), X-linked agammaglobulinemia, congenital agammaglobulinemia, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome, and severe combined immunodeficiencies. It is also used in the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and multiple myeloma in patients with low antibody levels and recurrent infections, despite the use of prophylactic antibiotics.

Cutaquig is administered through slow subcutaneous infusion, usually once a week, with dosage based on the patient’s weight, medical condition, and response to treatment. With sufficient training, treatments can be self-administered or administered by a household member.

What Does Simplefill Provide?

People with compromised immune systems are always at risk of an infection, and sometimes those infections are fatal. At the very least, they’re debilitating. Antibody replacement therapy is a costly treatment, yet critical for the people who need it. The emotional stress of a potentially lethal condition, combined with the physical stress of frequent infections, and the financial burden of an expensive treatment takes a toll not only on the patient but on the entire family.

Simplefill believes that everyone who needs costly medication should have access to it even if they lack insurance coverage and cannot afford the out-of-pocket cost. We know there are prescription assistance programs for many costly medications, but that may not be common knowledge among those who need it. So, we’ve made it our mission to bridge that gap between people in need of help to pay for their essential prescriptions and the prescription assistance programs that can provide it.

How Does Cutaquig Work?

Cutaquig is an antibody replacement therapy that boosts a patient’s natural defenses against infection. Immune globulin contains certain antibodies, or proteins, extracted from the blood plasma of healthy donors. Infused antibodies work in the same way as a patient’s natural antibodies and raise their abnormally low levels to normal.

How to Get Cutaquig Prescription Assistance

Step #1: Become a Simplefill member by applying online or by calling 1(877)386-0206. Step 2: Answer some questions during a telephone interview with one of our patient advocates.

That’s it. That’s all you have to do to get the ball rolling. From that point on, it’s in our court.

We’ll use your responses to the advocate’s questions to build your member profile, which will give us the basis for identifying the Cutaquig assistance programs you qualify for. We’ll apply to those programs on your behalf and get you enrolled when you’re approved. Before you know it, you’ll find that you are paying much less, perhaps nothing, for your Cutaquig.

Moving forward, let us know when there are changes to your treatment plan, and we’ll update your member profile. If any new medications have been prescribed for you, we’ll start the process of finding a prescription assistance program that can lower the cost.
