What is Dupixent?

Dupixent (dupilumab) is a monoclonal antibody prescribed for several allergic diseases:

  • Eczema. Dupixent is used, often in combination with a topical corticosteroid, to treat moderate-to-severe eczema in adults and children aged six and older that have not responded well to topical medications alone.
  • Asthma attacks. Dupixent is also prescribed to prevent severe asthma attacks in people over the age of 12 with moderate-to-severe asthma that is not well-controlled by other asthma medications. It is a maintenance medication and not to be used to treat sudden-onset breathing problems.
