What is Camzyos?
Camzyos (mavacamten) is a medication prescribed for the treatment of symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, or HCM. HCM is characterized by the thickening of the heart muscle, particularly between the ventricles, which can impede blood flow out of the heart. Camzyos is most often prescribed for HCM patients with slight to marked limitations in physical activity due to symptoms such as palpitations, chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, and fainting spells.
